Frequently asked Questions
In the event of a paper jam, follow the procedures in below to remove the paper:
- Press the ADF Release button to open the feeder cover.
- Carefully pull the paper out of the feed tray.
- Close the feeder cover. Your Scanner is now ready to be used.
- Check if you have already installed the Button Manager.
- After installation, if the software application can be operated normally on your computer but the the buttons on the scanner cannot work properly, please contact customer service for help.
Please check the following points

- Are the feeding roller or sepration pad worn out? Replace the feeding roller or separation pad if necessary.
- Are the feeding roller and separation pad clean? Clean the feeding roller and separation pad.
If the problem still persists, please contact the distributor/dealer where you purchased this product.
*Note:The lifetime and the replacing procedure vary based on type of scanner.
- Soak a clean cloth with some isopropyl alcohol (95%).
- Press the ADF release button and open the front door.
- Wipe the feeding rollers until they are completely cleaned.
- Press both sides of the cover of the ADF reverse roller and pull the cover down. Be careful not to damage the spring.
- Press and wipe the rollers one by one. Rotate the roller until the surfaces are completely cleaned.
Please Clean the Scanner Glass
- Open the feed tray.
- Press the ADF Release button to open the feeder cover.
- Wet a clean cloth with some isopropyl alcohol. (95%) Wipe the separation pad, rollers and the glass including the white area with the cleaning cloth to remove the dust or dirt.

▎ NOTE:
- 1Adding some isopropyl alcohol (95%) on the cleaning cloth is more efficient when cleaning the rollers.
- Do not use any solvents or corrosive liquid (i.e., alcohol, kerosene, etc.) or dust blower to clean any part of the scanner. The plastic material may be damaged or the liquid may leak (dust may fall) into the inside of the scanner and cause the scanner malfunction which voids the warranty.
Before contacting Avision, please prepare the following information, in the Information Tab:
- Scanner serial & revision number (located on the bottom/side of the scanner)
- Hardware configuration (e.g., your host CPU type, RAM size, free disk space, display card, interface card)
- The name and version of your scanning software application
- The version of your scanner driver
