The AD340GWN is a 40ppm/80ipm, duplex sheetfed scanner that is fast, reliable, and affordable for business where scanning plastic ID cards, business cards, documents or other heavy card stock is necessary. Embedded with Avision-developed image processor , the scanned images can be automatically cropped, straightened, and ready to be used.

▍A network document scanner

With the network port at the back side, this product allows you to use it as a network scanner. This means users in the intranet environment can share the scanner and obtain the scanned image from their individual computer. What is best, the network scanner allows you to switch to other computers in the LAN, users in the LAN can really enjoy the scan and collect the image from their own computers!

▍Mobile scanning via Wi-Fi connection

Built-in with a Wi-Fi dongle, the AD340GWN can work as a wireless device to scan and receive images directly from your mobile devices through Avision’s App.

▍Convenient walk-up scanning

A flash USB drive and direct interface are available for scanning files to your USB flash memory drive.

High Optical Resolution of 600 dpi

With a high optical resolution of 600 dpi and advanced image processing technology, you can be assured documents can be converted in the highest image quality. In addition, with the build-in CIS (Contact Image Sensor) module, the AD340GWN series do not require any warm-up time.

Color, and Graphical LCD Display

The AD340GWN is easy to use through the clear and color 1.77” LCD display and buttons on the panel. By selecting your destination and pressing the “Scan” button, the scan can be done and the scanned image can be sent to your specified destination application such as e-mail, printer, or your favorable image-editing software application. Up to nine frequently used scan settings and destinations can be preset for different scanning needs.

Friction Roller Enhances Feeding Reliability

Designed with the innovative friction roller for advanced paper separation capability, the AD340GWN delivers outstanding feeding reliability and operating productivity by effectively reducing the risk of a multi-feed or paper jam.

Ultrasonic Multi-Feed Detection

With the ultrasonic multi-feed detection capability, the scanner allows you to set overlapped paper by detecting paper thickness between documents. The ultrasonic function can be turned off when scanning document with labels, sticky notes, or taped receipts. This innovative design prevents double feeding and effectively scans documents of different weights or thickness.

High-Volume Daily Duty Cycle

The scanner can be used to scan up to 8,000 pages per day through the 50-page automatic document feeder. The data indicates that this scanner is designed to scan document in any application requiring frequent document and hard card scanning.

Innovative Design to Save Your Space

The AD340GWN boast a unique and stylish design as both the input and output paper tray can be folded when not in use. The paper tray also helps to protect the unit from dust. Unlike bulky conventional scanners, the slim AD340GWN can be easily carried and fit on a desk without taking up a lot of space.

The AVScan and PaperPort are highly effective image processing and document management software that helps you streamline your task more efficiently.

▎Instruction

  • More than one sheet of paper are fed into the scanner.

    1. Open the scanner front door.

    2. Remove the multi-fed sheets.

    3. Close the front door.

    4. Flatten the corners and edges. Loosen the paper before putting it into the paper guide again.

    5. Check the feeding roller condition. If necessary, follow the cleaning directions and perform the cleaning.

  • Paper becomes skewed in the scanner.

    1. Align the document guides to fit the documents as closely as possibly and place the documents so that they feed in straight.

    2. Check the condition of the feeding roller. If necessary, follow the cleaning directions and perform the cleaning.

▎Software

  • When I choose optical resolution to be 600 dpi, the “auto crop” and “deskew” functions will be disabled.

    Since to perform auto crop and deskew consumes great deal of system memory, it is suggested if you wish to perform “auto crop” and “deskew” functions, please choose your optical resolution to be smaller than 600 dpi to prevent a error message.

  • Why does my scanned image always come out too dark?

    1. Please adjust the screen settings to sRGB.

    2.Please adjust the brightness settings on the screen from application software.

▎Hardware Related

  • Paper becomes jammed during scanning.

    1. Open the front door.

    2. Pull out the jammed paper carefully.

    3. Close the front door.
