▍High-Volume Daily Duty Cycle

The scanner can be used to scan up to 20,000 pages per day through the 150-page automatic document feeder. The data indicates that this scanner is designed to scan document in any application requiring frequent document and hard card scanning.

▍Dual-lamp Design to Handle Wrinkled Documents

Designed to handle even extreme applications, the AD6090N scanner is built-in with two long-lasting lamps. These mercury-free lamps give you maximum illumination to help eliminate shadows from wrinkled documents.

▍Paper Protection Mechanism

The innovative hardware design to implement various jam sensors on the paper path greatly improves the sensitivity to detect paper jams, which reduces the risk of damaging the document by stopping your scan job.

Plus, the multi-feed detection technology helps detecting overlapping documents that go through the auto document feeder by either detecting extra paper length or paper thickness through triple ultrasonic sensors.

▍Plastic card or ID card uses the straight paper path

To provide scanner users with the most versatile scanning environments, the user has the choice to utilize a “U-Turn or Straight Paper Path”.  By opening the rear cover, users can use the straight path to transport paper direct to the rear of the unit. To utilize the straight paper path ensures high reliability with plastic card, ID card, thick, long paper, or more fragile documents.

▍Paper Protection Technology

The advanced Paper protection technology protects valuable paper from being wrinkled or torn by halting the scan process once a skewed page is detected.

▍A Large LCD Display

The AD6090N is easy to use through the clear 1.8” LCD display. By selecting your destination and pressing the “Scan” button, the scan can be done and the scanned image can be sent to your specified destination application such as e-mail, printer, or your favorable image-editing software application. Up to nine frequently used scan settings and destinations can be preset for different scanning needs.

▍Scan to Cloud with Button Manager V2

The AD6090N come with TWAIN and ISIS drivers, and are bundled with a suite of powerful software applications that include Avision Button Manager, AVScan , and PaperPort . With Button Manager , you can complete a scan and send the image directly to cloud servers such as Google Drive, Dropbox, Evernote, FaceBook, or Microsoft SharePoint with a press of a button. You can also save the image to searchable PDF, JPEG, BMP, or GIF file format, and scan to e-mail, or image editing application. In addition, the bundled software applications also include AVScan  and PaperPort which are are highly effective document management software to streamline your task more efficiently.

▎Instruction

  • Others: Scanner is Unable to Perform Scanning.

    1. If you connect the scanner via the Virtual Scanner Link software, after you pressing the Scan button via the image-editing software application, please also go to the scanner side to press the Scan button or the Right Arrow button ( ▶) again.

  • Others: No Power.

    1. Check if the scanner has been connected properly to a power source.

  • Others: Recognize Fail.

    1. Check if the scanner has been connected to a computer via a USB cable.

    2. Check if the scanner driver has been installed.
    3. Or you may check if the right driver has been successfully installed by choosing Device Manager>Image Device from the Control Panel.

    4. Or else try to replace another USB cable.

  • Image Problem: Moire Pattern.

    User Check

    1. Open TWAIN user interface. In the Image tab, select 600 dpi from the Resolution option and try again.

  • When the scanner is powered on, it makes noises and won’t stand ready.

    There are two possibilities:

    1.You might fail to push the scanner shipping lock to its “unlocked” position. If this is the case, pull the scanner status switch to its “unlocked” position first.

    2.The scanner is not placed on an even, flat desktop surface. This may cause the scanner to malfunction.

  • Paper becomes skewed in the scanner.

    1.Use the slide guide to keep the paper path straight.

    2.Check the condition of the feeding roller. If necessary, follow the cleaning directions in User Manual and perform the cleaning.

▎Software

  • Image Problem: Gray Background.

    User Check

    1. Open TWAIN user interface. In the Image tab, select your choice to fit your original from the Color Matching option and try again. Or you may enhance the level of contrast.

  • Others: Virtual Scanner Link does not Find Your Scanner.

    User Check

    1. Check if the scanner mode supprot network function and had an IP address. If your scanner is located in difference network segment, add the IP manually on the Virtual Scanner Link.
    For example, if the IP of your PC is 10.1.20.xxx and the IP of your scanner is 10.1.30.xxx, then you need to add the scanner’s IP manually.

  • Image Problem: Color Variation.

    User Check

    1. Open TWAIN user interface. In the Image tab, we suggest to select Document from the Color Matching option and try again if your scan the documet of offical type.

  • Others: Button didn't Work.

    User Check

    1. Please verify if you mean you can not perform a scan by pressing the Scan button on the scanner. If so, make sure that Button Manager V2 has been installed on your computer. Then launch Button Manager V2, the Button Manager icon will be displayed on the system tray.

    2. Or check if the Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) service has been started by selecting Control Panel>All Control Panel Items>Administrative Tools>Service.

    3.Finally, make sure you have installed .Net framework 4.5.1 & C++ 2010/2015 on your computer. You can find the program in the path C:\Program Files (x86)\Avision\Button Manager\Prerequisite and install them all.

  • When I choose optical resolution to be 600 dpi, the "auto crop" and "deskew" functions will be disabled.

    Since to perform auto crop and deskew consumes great deal of system memory, it is suggested if you wish to perform "auto crop" and "deskew" functions, please choose your optical resolution to be smaller than 600 dpi to prevent a error message.

▎Hardware Related

  • Error Code 2013: Paper Jam(Pick Up).

    3. Or open the upper base to clean the ADF & Friction roller by wiping it with a lint-free cloth slightly moistened with isopropyl alcohol (95%).

    ADF roller: Open the ADF roller cover and take out the ADF roller.

    Friction roller: Open the friction roller cover and take out the friction roller.

    4. Or else replace the Friction/ADF roller.

    5. And ensure you had sort the paper before you put the paper on the tray and fix the paper feeding by side guide.

  • Error Code 3211: Document Misfeed.

    2. Or open the upper base to clean the ADF & Pick up roller by wiping it with a lint-free cloth slightly moistened with isopropyl alcohol (95%).

    ADF roller: Open the ADF roller cover and take out the ADF roller.

    Friction roller: Open the friction roller cover and take out the friction roller.

    3. Check whetehr the roller had rotation action, or else need to be repaired.

  • Error Code 2014: ADF Cover Open.

  • Image Problem: Vertical Lines.

    2. Clean the glass area by clean wipe cloth with isopropyl alcohol (95%).

  • Others: Rear Cover Opened.
