1. Make sure you have fanned the paper before loading the paper to the feeder. Adjust the paper guide to fit your document. Make the edge of your document slightly touch the paper guide.

2. Or clean the ADF & Pick up roller by wiping it with a lint-free cloth slightly moistened with isopropyl alcohol (95%). You may use the clean mode by pressing the setting icon (gear icon) on the screen and then choose [Clean mode]. Finally, press the Scan button. The roller will be automatically rotated a few inches. Continue to wipe the roller until they are completely cleaned.

3. Or try to replace the pick up roller/ADF roller.

Pick up roller: open the cover then take out the pick up roller.

ADF roller:open the cover, raise the pick up belt or take out the pick up roller first, then take out the roller

4. Check if the roller can not rotate smoothly, it is probably the roller needs to be repaired.
